Community Volunteer Opportunities
There are so many ways to give back to your community, but giving your time and attention to enhance the lives of aging adults is one of the most effective – not just for them, but for you. Our volunteers constantly tell us that they personally get more out of the experience than the elders themselves.
Opportunities include, but are not limited to:
- Musical entertainment
- Pet visits
- Nail painting
- Bible study
- Life stories
- Chaperoning outings
- Leading chair exercises
- Calling bingo
- One-on-one companionship visits
- Assisting with arts and crafts projects
- Administrative opportunities to support our volunteer program
We especially welcome younger volunteers from schools, churches or scout troops to take part in our unique Intergenerational Programs. We also welcome job shadowing and internship inquiries.
Whatever your special talent or passion is, we can adapt it to maximize the experience for both you and those whose lives you will touch. Commitments can range from a one-time experience to several hours a day or week.
